Amanda Shaw is an award-winning journalist, writer and digital content creator in South Carolina.

 

She has received multiple accolades from the South Carolina Broadcasters Association and the Radio Television Digital News Association of the Carolinas. In 2024, she won a national Communicator Award for her investigative reporting on South Carolina's mishandled rape kit tracking system. Her work has been nominated five times for a Southeast Emmy. She was named as an emerging leader in Gray Media, the nation's largest owner of top-rated local television stations.

Her creative writing has been featured in Oprelle Publication's Matter Anthology and High Self Press literary magazine.

 

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in Film Studies from Furman University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree in Narrative Nonfiction from the University of Georgia.
